My Tribute to Beast

Oh Beastie...

You are what I envision when I think of the word "cat".  Strong, proud, a hunter- although your hunting was inside, stealing a piece of chicken, steak, or some other goodie.  You were also a kittypet who loved attention and a good scratch around the ears or under the chin.

You had such a good life with us and your brother Ghost...but when Ghost died, I think a peice of you went with him.  Now you're together at the Rainbow Bridge, happy, healthy and free.

We love you Beastie.

Buster

Lorraine from Kenansville , North Carolina, United States has included Buster, a male Dashound mix dog on this week's Tribute list and Monday Candle Lighting Ceremony.

Buster was born on 2017-07-17 and crossed Rainbow Bridge on 06-22-2017.

My Tribute to Buster

Somewhere deep within Buster's soul, was a terrible, dark memory...he and his brother came to us as abandoned puppies. Brother Butch always happy, confident, whereas Buster was always frightened and sad....
Why? We'll probably never know, but all the while, I loved him so. The fear caused him to bite and of course my guests to fright, but he was so definitely worth the fight. We showered him with an abundance of patience, love and discipline and ultimately he did fit in. Fleeting happiness so thin for fate was not so kind to him. Epilepsy took its toll and diabetes out of control. He took his shots and pills like such a man but I suppose God had another plan. Our sweet boy had given us such joy that it took every ounce of strength that I could muster, to say good-bye to my sweet Buster.

Benny Boy

Lorraine from Kenansville , North Carolina, United States has included Benny Boy, a male French Bulldog dog on this week's Tribute list and Monday Candle Lighting Ceremony.

Benny Boy was born on 2006-07-02 and crossed Rainbow Bridge on 2018-12-17.

My Tribute to Benny Boy

My Tribute to Benny Boy:

It was a turbulent time in 2006
My dear fella fought for his life and needed a special fix
No one really knew what to do
Until that day God showed me a picture of You...
Such an adorable, little white Frenchie Pup
I mused; this just might cheer my Kenny up
And so I did what I must do, to arrange a flight for You
Your new dad didn’t know, when I packed him in the car to go
Its a big surprise is all I said, as he wearily shook his head
So when we arrived to the place, I placed him in the chair and picked up the pace
Pushing him to the arrival gate, You were already there in Your little crate
They say that first impressions set the stage, as we took the time to engage
It was quite obvious that You would be all the rage
Creamy white, with such a muscular physique
Nestling a big ole giant head that was totally unique
Sporting a pissed off looking bulldog face
With huge pointy ears reaching up to space
I opened the crate and reached in
You rewarded me and daddy with a great big grin
Daddy said “is he really mine?”
As he held You close and You softly whined
Finally we arrived at home and You immediately began to roam
You wasted no time introducing Your little mug
To Your brand new brother and sister pug
I asked Your dad if he gave Your name any thought
He said “Ken’s Benoit” because it’s a French bulldog you bought
And so too, his nickname will be Benny, because it rhymes with my name Kenny
His rational caused us to erupt in laughter
Proving again every storm has a morning after
Obviously a new era had begun
And it didn’t take long before You made Yourself number one
Dominant, fearless and tough, everything including play you did so very rough
Always proving you had the right stuff
Stamina, determination and grit, put you back on track
After having survived a broken back
You brought us such happiness and delight
These past twelve years and five months of Your precious light
So sadly  daddy and I knew You’d never give up without a fight
You stuck out Your chest and refused to rest
Defiantly You looked death in the eye
As If to say, I’m not ready to say good-bye
So very sad, but it’s okay
Daddy and I know; it’s our Benny Boy’s way.....
